The Nagaland Classical Guitar Society (NCGS) under the leadership of its President, Joey Woch and Vice President, Norman Villas gave a concert at the 8th Calcutta International Classical Guitar Festival and Competition held from December15 to 17, 2017 at Kolkata. Waluniba Lemtur won the Classical Guitar Competition Under-18 category, sponsored by the Embassy of Spain in India and the Institute Cervantes Nueva, New Delhi. The festival included internationally acclaimed classical guitarists like Johannes Moller, Miguel Trapaga, Le Maestrio, Paco Renteria, Pavel Steidl, Marcin Dylla and Umbral Duo. The NCGS is an association of Classical guitarists and enthusiasts in Nagaland founded in 2014 for the promotion and appreciation of classical guitar music in the state and beyond.
