Kohima, August 4 (MExN): The District Administration, Kohima in collaboration with Police, EE (PHE), EE (PWD) South, Old Minister Hill Panchayat and in presence of T. Khel Youth Organisation, Kohima Village carried out clearance and removal of water pipes which has blocked the drains and culverts at Old Minister Hill area between KMC Chau Parking and Jail Colony junction on August 4.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa said that the clearance exercise and necessary actions has been carried out on the expiry of 7 days notice, which was issued on July 27 to the individual water drawers for removal of their water pipes from the drains. The ADC also expressed her appreciation to the T. Khel Council and T. Khel Youth Organisation and the Panchayat of Old Minister Hill for extending their cooperation and support towards the exercise for the safety of the general public.
