Water supply restored in Old Peren Town

Peren, July 29 (MExN): The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) in collaboration with the Deputy Commissioner of Peren have amicable settled the water supply issue at Old Peren Town with the help of public leaders, according to a press release from Sub-Divisional Officer, PHED Peren. The water supply was restored on July 26.   The release recounted that the PHED was permitted to carry out restoration work of water supply at the source on July 15. The department officers and their staff started the pipeline repairing at source along with the main gravity alignment. During the repair works, it was found that the pipelines were blocked with stone, the release said, adding checking and removing the stones from the pipes had delayed the restoration work.

  The discharge of water reaching the town was measured on July 27 in the presence of all representatives concerned. It indicated a flow of 1,57,000 litres per day thereby relieving the consumers from water scarcity in the town, the release added.
