Watsu Mungdang to organize bead works and wood craft workshop

MOKOKCHUNG, JULY 25 (MExN): The Watsu Mungdang under its School of Culture will be organizing a two-day workshop on bead works and wood craft. 

In a press release, Dr Adangla Changkija, Convenor, School of Culture informed that the workshop will be held at Aor Kilem, Sangtemla Ward, Mokokchung on August 1 & 2. 

“Last year we had successfully conducted pottery and bamboo craft workshop and this year too we are hoping that we will have a positive response,” she stated. “With many youth sitting idle after their studies, and with less job opportunities, if youths can acquire the skills of bead making and wood craft, they will be able to sustain by owning small businesses,” she added. “Not just youths but older people can also benefit from this workshop,” she further said. 

The registration fee will be Rs 500 per person. There are 25 seats available for bead works and 10 seats for wood craft. Interested individuals can contact 8837091896 / 9436424238. The last date for registration is July 29, the press release informed.
