Outgoing officials with newly appointed WDVCC office bearers.
Wokha, October1 (MExN): The Wokha District Village Council Chairman Association (WDVCCA) held a programme for the change of guard on October 1 at WDVCCA & WDVDBA multi-purpose building Wokha.
Myingthungo Odyuo, the outgoing president congratulated the newly elected chairman of 134 recognised villages in Wokha district. He said the newly elected village council chairmen are young and educated. He mentioned that some are retired officers and politicians, and expressed hope that they would be vigorous in leading their villages.
He also congratulated the new team of WDVCCA led by Vandan Erui (VCC Wokha Village) President, Benathung Odyuo (VCC Morakjo) General Secretary, Mhabemo Enieo (VCC Totsu) Finance Secretary and Janthungo Kikon (VCC Tsungiki) as the Treasurer.
Vandan Erui, the newly appointed WDVCCA President said that the village chairmen are the mirrors representing and reflecting their village. He urged them to put God first in their assigned duties and serve the village with truth, fear and compassion. He further sought cooperation from the entire village council chairmen to expedite the duties and welfare of all villages in Wokha district.
