Dimapur, June 2 (MExN): The tenth batch of student graduated from Living Word Foundation (LWF), Chumukedima. Ten students completed a three-month diploma course from LWF, a ministerial Bible training school under the aegis of Christ Community Church. A graduation programme was held to Wednesday with Reverend Balie Kirha of Faith Christian Fellowship, Guwahati as the speaker.
Pointing out to the graduating students that “graduation is not the end but the beginning of a mission,” Rev. Kirha said they are now equipped to take on responsibilities. He said they are now perfect in Christ. He reminded the students that even though there are many successful people out in the field, their specialty will come in being one with Christ. He said “God wants us to look at the beauty of Christ; and keep our eyes on God so that we can be transformed.” He encouraged them not to be condemned by the characteristics of their humanness; rather, to look at the beauty of Christ that is within each one of us. “We are not perfect in our conduct as humans, but we are perfect in our position with Christ,” he said.
Also expounding on the role of humans as ambassadors of Christ, Rev. Kirha said God cannot work independent of the Church and His people. “Anything God wants to do, he will do through you, me and the church,” he said. As ambassadors of Christ, he said, their primary task is to win souls. He reminded the students that even tough people may reject the word of God; it remains their responsibility to preach. He added that when they exercise their privilege as ambassadors of Christ, God will validate his presence with sign, wonders and miracles, he said. The speaker said further that if they want to enjoy the immunity of Christ, they must meditate; without which one cannot be true ambassadors.
LWF Overseer, Reverend Dirang Lungalang on the occasion thanked the guardians of the students for sending their wards to LWF. “Thank you for having faith in us,” he said, while assured them that their decision has not gone wasted. And what better word to encourage the graduating student students than by saying:”Go forth boldly.” Earlier, awards were presented to four students in different areas of excellence. Best discipline to Christina Marak; most improved to Ghukali Awomi, leadership award to Shyerhunlo Lorin and academic excellence to Ditalang Zeliang.
