Dimapur, September 11 (MExN): In the backdrop of the recent killing of ten Kuki Liberation Army cadres by the NSCN (IM), the Kuki Liberation Army today demanded a revolutionary apology from the NSCN (IM) for all the excesses committed against the Kuki people especially the killing of ten of its cadres recently at Ukhrul.
An open letter to the NSCN (IM) by the KLA Information and Publicity, Armstrong Kuki, while demanding a revolutionary apology from the NSCN (IM), said that the Kuki Liberation Army do not want any war, bloodshed and disunity among all the underground groups of Manipur and Nagaland since they all share the same ideology for liberating their neglected people from oppressive government.
However, the KLA asserted that the KLA is compelled to bring out the exact truth to the public, since ‘motivated organisations like NSCN (IM)’ massacred 10 of its members, under such ‘flimsy and unrelated reason, to cover up their private misdeeds and the direct involvement of their treacherous Kuki followers.
The KLA said that it is an organisation fighting till the last bullet to liberate the Kukigam and that the KLA does not challenge anybody without revolutionary reasons. “We (KLA) challenge nobody or any fellow UG group in the past, present and we will not challenge any organisation in the future without revolutionary reasons. However, the letter stated that the killed cadres were called for friendly talks with the KRA and were brutally murdered. “It was a preplanned trap just to decamp with weapons of the KLA.”
The KLA strongly said that all the explanation and clarification given by the NSCN (IM) over the treacherous killing of the 10 KLA cadres at Tangkhul Hundung village on September 3 were ‘childish, unacceptable and baseless and have direct relation with the cowardice incident’. The KLA therefore demanded a ‘revolutionary apology from the NSCN (IM). “We want revolutionary apology for the political crime against humanity,” the KLA said.
