Dimapur, February 10 (MExN): The ICAR-NRC on Mithun conducted a webinar on ‘Intellectual Property Rights with special emphasis on Copyright and Trademarks’ on February 10 as part of Intellectual Technology Management Unit (ITMU) initiative.
According to a press release from the organizers, the ITMU initiative of ICAR-NRC on Mithun is aimed towards capacity building with the objectives to educate and to create awareness about IPR issues particularly copy right and trademarks among the scientific community.
The release stated that ICAR-NRC on Mithun Directot Dr MH Khan initiated the session with a welcome address while resource person Dr SK Soam, Joint Director, National Aecademy of Agricultural Research Management(NAARM), Hyderabad delivered thought-provoking and interesting session on the various copyright and trademarks related concepts using the virtual platform Mentimeter.
The workshop was attended by a total number of 51 persons including the staff and scientists of ICAR-NRC on Mithun and ICAR Research Complex of NEHR, Nagaland Centre, faculty of College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, CAU, Jalukie and scientists from ICAR Research complex for NEH region, Basar, Arunachal Pradesh, PhD scholars from SASRD, Nagaland University and professors from CVSc, Selesih, CAU, Mizoram.
The meeting was co-ordinated by Dr JK Chamuah, Scientist, I/C ITMU, the release stated.
