Webinar on elevating research productivity through Scopus

ZUNHEBOTO, JUNE 2 (MExN): Nagaland University, Central Library Lumami, in collaboration with Elsevier, organized a webinar aimed at enhancing research productivity by providing training on the use of the Scopus bibliographic database to students, faculty, and scholars. The objective was to familiarize participants with Scopus and its functionalities, enabling them to conduct efficient research, a press release said. 

The webinar titled "Elevating Research Productivity through Scopus" was held on May 28, via Zoom. Dr Nitin Ghoshal, a Customer Success Manager at Elsevier - South Asia, served as the resource person. The event, convened by Dr T Temjen (Deputy Librarian, Nagaland University) and coordinated by Chanlang Ki Bareh (Asst Librarian, Nagaland University), attracted 130 participants. Certification was provided based on feedback received.

The session covered various topics including navigating the Scopus interface, advanced search techniques, bibliometric analysis, and research planning and collaboration. Dr Nitin Ghoshal elaborated on additional features such as journal metric systems, saved searches, alert services, and journal selections. 

A Q&A session facilitated interactive engagement, addressing queries on topics ranging from pre-print articles to the advantages of Scopus compared to Web of Science and other platforms. Attendees found the webinar informative and valuable, expressing appreciation for the hands-on demonstration, the press release stated.
