The Western Chakhesang Hoho on Saturday celebrated its Golden Jubilee at Seluophe village, Dimapur with MP Rajya Sabha, K.G. Kenye, Advisor PHE, N. Jacob Zhimomi and MLA Neiba Kronu as the guest speakers.
Upon arrival, Kenye unveiled the jubilee monolith after it was dedicated by Rev Bulechu Koza. Held under the theme, ‘Peaceful Co-existence,’ the programme was attended by thousands of citizens of Western Chakhesang area and invitees from other tribal units. Folk songs, sounding of jubilee horn and showcasing of indigenous items were some of the highlights of the programme.
