Peace making is not professional or a selected, elected or appointed commission to work for. It is spontaneous, instinct and inherent for a true believer of Christ. I believe that no one who is not born again can be a real peace maker and every born again one is a peace maker. There are peace makers for selfish end. A mission of peace, forgiveness and reconciliation is out of burden in the heart. Should any men and women be assigned by paying to work for peace? Certainly it is also a must but such men and women are not exclusive.
Jesus Christ is the peace Maker. He is called the prince of peace. Through Him sinners are forgiven and reconciled to God the Father and have peace with God. If Christ is in us, we cannot remain silent spectators when killing, injustice and the suppression are going on in our land. Jesus Christ said that His follower are the salt of the earth and the light of the world.(Matthew 5:13-14).So every true believer of Christ is a peace maker irrespective of his or her profession. You may be sent by an organization to do for peace and reconciliation but the love of God will constrain you to do it.
For peace work, there is no organizational or denominational barrier or binding. All should instinctively forgive others in the name of Jesus Christ and should work for others for peace. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God”. So the children of God are the peacemakers. They are the peacemaker between God and man and between man and man. One who has real peace with God has peace with man because peace with man is a reflection of the relationship between God and man. Search yourself whether you are a true child of God or not. It is the responsibility of each and every one of the believers of Christ to work for forgiveness and reconciliation in the world.
