Will not tolerate disturbances to Nagas areas, ANSF warns

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 16 (MExN): The Arunachal Naga Students’ Federation (ANSF) on Saturday said it opposed the decision of the central government to grant citizen ship right to Chakma and Hajong refugees and to let them settle in the Naga territory of Changlang district in Arunachal Pradesh. A press release issued by ANSF president Nokchai and general secretary Pharo Khamtin stated that the federation during its emergency meeting held on September 15, 2017 at Khonsa resolved that it will not tolerate any type of “atrocities and disturbances towards the Naga people residing in Tirap, Changlang & Longding districts. The federation also cautioned that it would deal any disturbances and inconveniences caused to the Nagas seriously and vowed that not an inch of the Naga territory would be compromised with any foreign refugees.
