Kohima, March 30 (MExN): Wind energy will soon be making its entry into Nagaland, one in Phek district and other in Zunheboto district. Wind energy is a new area for exploration for Nagaland. To harness wind energy, the state’s department of new & renewable energy has carried out surveys of potential sites using computer aided simulation in collaboration with the Centre for Wind Energy Technologies (C-WET). They have identified 16 feasible sites. The installation of solar wind-hybrid project with a capacity of 10kW each is being set up at the Government College, Zunhebto and Pfutsero Community Health Centre. Execution of these projects will commence soon, the department said.
