
Wokha, January 4 (MExN): Royal Strikers registered their first win in the third semifinal league match against Renegades by a margin of 88 runs in the ongoing 21st Winter Cricket Challenge played at Local Ground, Wokha. The tournament is being organised by Senior Noble Klan. Opting to bat after winning the toss, the Strikers set up a huge total of 165 runs with a solid partnership of 122 runs between opener Hemari Teron, who remained unbeaten on 66, and Jubin Doley who scored 53 runs. For Renegades, Sunil Sharma claimed 2 wickets while Renchio Odyuo and Nayan Hazarika claimed a wicket each. In the run chase, Renegades CC were bowled out in the 16th over of the inning for a paltry 77 runs. Lijanbemo was the lone batsman who defied the strong bowling line up of the Royal Strikers with a gritty 21 runs. Vickey, Sajid, Jubin and Roshan claimed 2 wickets each for Royal Strikers.
