NWV and EYL register wins

WOKHA, JANUARY 4 (MExN): New Wokha Village (NWC) CC defeated WTBC Youth Fellowship by 35 runs at the Wokha local ground on Monday in the ongoing Winter Cricket Challenge. 

NWC won the toss and elected to bat setting up 126 in 20 overs. WTBC’s chase folded in 16.5 overs. Phyobenthung Kithan was named the man of the match for his 64 runs in 66 balls.

In the other game, Etsujhuka Youth League (EYL) handed a 7-wicket defeat to Kohima Lotha Students Union (KLSU). Chasing 131 to win, EYL reached the target in 14.1 overs which featured a scintillating knock of 48 runs (37 balls) from Nchumbemo Humtsoe, who was declared the man of the match.
