Wokha DPDB discuses non-functional government schools

Wokha, April 11 (DIPR): The monthly District Planning & Development Board Meeting was held on April 11 at Deputy Commissioner Conference Hall, Wokha. The meeting was chaired by DC and Vice Chairman DPDB Wokha A.Robin Lotha. Advisor for Treasuries & Accounts, Relief & Rehabilitation, Dr. TM Lotha also attended the meeting.  

Reviewing the last meeting minutes SDEO, Bhandari gave a report on non-functioning of primary and middle schools under SDEO Bhandari, in this regard Dr. TM Lotha said, if such cases are detected department should take up remedial measures to ensure that schools are made functional.  

In regard to repair of jail road from Molonsu colony junction to District Jail and District Hospital junction to District Jail stretching about 1km, the Advisor apprised the board that due to fund constrain the proposed work cannot be taken immediately.

  The proposal for reservation of room for Under Trial Patient (UTP) put up by Deputy Superintendent of Jail, Medical Superintended Wokha informed the board that, rooms are already reserved for the same. The chairman requested MS and Dy. Superintendent of Jail to have a co-ordination meeting to make it functional at the earliest.  

The board also approved the following Society for registration to higher authority, namely Senthan Society Liphi Village under Bhandari Sub-Division, Likya Society Liphi village and Suphen Thera Self Help Group at Sanis Town.  

Deputy Commissioner informed all the members that district level celebration of National Panchayat Day will be held on April 16 at Don Bosco Youth Centre Wokha, and requested all Head of Offices in the district to attend the said function positively without fail.  

Chairperson Lotha Eloe Hoho also informed that Women Summit will be held on April 21 and 22 where Nagaland Governor will grace the occasion and requested all members to attend the said summit.
