Wokha, January 9 (DIPR): The monthly District Planning and Development Board meeting was held on January 9 at Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Wokha. Vice Chairman DPDB & DC Wokha, Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon, IAS chaired the meeting.
During the meeting the board felicitated medal holders who participated during the recently concluded 1st Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) held from December 12 to 26, 2017 at Dimapur, Wokha District won 21 medals including 4 Gold, 7 Silver and 10 Bronze. All together 84 contingents took part in the event in eight different disciplines.
The chairman reminded head of offices who have not submitted the list of drivers, government vehicles and employees list to submit the same at the earliest. Work distribution for Republic Day, 2018 celebration was done during the Planning Board meeting. Deputy Commissioner also informed that demonstration of VVPAT for the upcoming State Assembly Election is underway in all the polling stations under the supervision of Sector Magistrates and urged all to extend co-operation while doing the exercise. Project Director, DRDA presented their departmental activities and programmes during the meeting. E.E. (R&B) is requested to present their departmental activities in the next meeting.
