About WCC

In 1996, five members of District Cricket Players formed a group called 'Senior Noble Klan' (SNK) with a mission to guide and nurture the upcoming local young cricketers, and conceived what is known as the present WCC tourney.

The first edition of WCC commenced on December 26, 1996 with seven teams vying for the title.

According to the SNK, it is the only cricket tournament in Nagaland to have held a women's cricket match.  The present SNK is headed by Pankathung Ovung as President and Penthungo Lotha as the General Secretary.
