Meluri, April 2 (DIPR): Women Welfare Society, Meluri Town celebrated Silver Jubilee on March 30 at Town Hall, Meluri with ADC Meluri, John Tsulise Sangtam as the chief guest.
The chief guest in his speech said that women play an important and central role in the society as well in the family. The most important and biggest role in the society is administered by a mother, he said, adding that a mother has to show good attitude to their children and bring them up to become responsible and successful citizens in the future.
Virhothsu Nyuwi, the speaker, dwelling on the topic “Be a real woman” said that a woman’s job is not easy as she has to take care for everything starting from the kitchen to binding a family together and shaping the society. Gracy Nyuwi, Convener, Jubilee Committee chaired the function and Shikaholi pronounced vote of thanks. The programme was attended by thousands of women, including government heads of offices and public leaders.
