DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 17 (MExN): A one day workshop on District Intensified Mission Indradhanush 2 (IMI 2) and Measles elimination & Rubella control was held for Peren District on November 15 and 16 at the Conference Hall, CHC Jalukie.
A press release informed that the workshop was attended by District Program Officers, Medical Officers, Nurses, Pharmacist, Vaccinators, Block Program Managers, Block ASHA Coordinators, and IEC personnel. The workshop on November 15 was conducted by Dr Nukshisangla Jamir, DPO UIP/RCH and on November 16 it was conducted by Dr. Sheila, SMO WHO and Dr Nukshisangla Jamir, DPO UIP/RCH.
Delivering the keynote address during the workshop on District Intensified Mission Indradhanush 2 (IMI 2) held on 15th Nov 2019, Dr Nukshisangla Jamir, DPO UIP/RCH exhorted the gathering expressing her sincere appreciation to them for attending the workshop. She gave an introduction on the Intensification of Immunization in India IMI 2. She also highlighted the IMI 2 key activities, micro planning including headcount exercise, monitoring and supervision, recording and reporting, the communication plan, and the importance of task force/review meetings including participation of other departments and lastly the timelines, way forward and closing remark.
Dr Nukshisangla Jamir, DPO UIP/RCH delivered the welcome note and objectives of the workshop on Measles elimination & Rubella control. She highlighted about the district update on AFP- MR Surveillance and Progress in MR elimination and HRA reprioritization using surveillance data, district weekly review meeting and also the frequently asked questions.
Dr. Sheila, SMO WHO provided global and national updates while informed on the way forward towards measles elimination & Rubella control. She also spoke on the basics of AFP-MR surveillance, logical expansion and sensitization, revised outbreak response protocol, practical exercise on MR-CFI filling and ACS visits, MR surveillance monitoring indicators and data analysis, and RI strengthening for MR elimination including TF/ review meetings.
