A workshop on Mountain Bike Technique organized by the Trail Hounds Cycling Club (THCC) Mokokchung was conducted on January 3 at Nature Park, the Mountain Biking Park, Ungma, Mokokchung.
Ollie Hemstock from the United Kingdom was the trainer and the resource person of the workshop which saw 20 cyclists taking part.
Hemstock shared about his mountain biking experiences in the UK where the mountain biking scene is massive and proceeded with the training programme where he demonstrated basic mountain biking techniques like - Braking, Cornering, Ideal Body Position, Attack Position, bunny hopping, climbs, jumps and drops.
Hemstock is an Architect/designer by profession and a seasoned mountain biker with 10 years of experience in Cross country mountain biking and 4 years of enduro and downhill mountain biking. He has participated in many national and International MTB Races across UK.
The Trail Hounds Cycling Club celebrates its first anniversary this year. The club has organized two events in 2016 and is hoping to organize more events and workshops to promote cycling as a sport and also promote health through healthy sport of cycling.
