
Kohima, February 16 (MExN): The Directorate of Technical Education, Nagaland conducted a two-day conference-cum-workshop on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 & National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for its officers, principals, and faculties.
It was held in the conference hall of Directorate of Technical Education, Kohima on February 8 and 9. A DIPR report stated that the resource persons were from the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training & Research (NITTTR), Kolkata.
Prof Urmila Kar presented on ‘NEP 2020 Policy and its Impact on Education System and Curriculum Model’ as designed by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, New Delhi. Dr Rayapati Subbarao spoke on the significance of NBA accreditation in all AICTE approved Technical Institutes/Polytechnics, emphasising its role in accessing various schemes under AICTE, GOI, New Delhi, and fostering excellence in Technical Institutes.
Principals of the Polytechnics delivered PowerPoint presentations covering a spectrum of topics, research endeavors, and best practices in their respective institutions.
Er Vipulhou Lhoungu, Director in his speech urged all participants to go the extra mile in promoting Technical Education in the State. Tiakaba Amer, Additional Director, extended a welcome, while Er Khrieketoulie Rupreo, Controller of Examination & Programme Coordinator delivered the vote of thanks.
