Kohima, August 11 (MExN): A brief workshop on PPP model of development was held on August 10 in the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Conference Hall initiated by the Urban Development Department. The workshop was chaired by R.B Thong, Additional Chief Secretary and co-chaired by Motsuthung Lotha, Secretary Urban Development Department. The Resource persons were from Delhi-based Consultancy Firm TRANSBIZ. Mokul Gogoi explained the concept and advantages of taking up projects on PPP model for critical infrastructure projects since all projects cannot be funded by the Centre/State Government.
Two multi-level parking projects under JNNURM at Kohima which are lying incomplete due to discontinuation of the Mission were deliberated in detail whereby it was decided to request the resource persons to submit a concept note for consideration of the Government. It was also decided that the resource persons shall submit a concept note on PPP model of development for general consideration of relevant departments for initiating viable projects under PPP model.
