
Dimapur, August 29 (MExN): A two day workshop on Public Financial Management System (PFMS) organised by Directorate of NVBDCP-Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, GoI, New Delhi in collaboration with The Union was held at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur on August 25 and 26.
PFMS is a web based online transaction system for fund management and e-payment to implementing agencies and other beneficiaries. The primary objective of PFMS is to establish and efficient fund flow system and expenditure network. It basically reduces manual accounting and brings about more transparency in fund management system. The trainees were trained on fund flow management from state to district and from district to block and village, programme implementation plan, budgeting and expenditure filing etc.
The resource persons for the training were Nagalakshmi Shankar, Finance Consultant, NVBDCP, MoHFW, GOI, Delhi and Prabhash Jha, Technical Advisor, PFMS, The Union. The participants included 48 trainees from eleven districts which comprised of District Vector Borne Officers, Finance Consultant, Secretarial Assistant, District Consultants, and Data Entry Operator cum Accounts Assistant, Statistical cum Account Assistant from NVBDCP, District Account Managers and Assistant Programme Manager SHS from NHM.
The training concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Kevichusa Medikhru, Joint Director and State Programme Officer, NVBDCP. Training completion certificates were also given away by the State Programme Officer.
