Dimapur, December 12 (MExN): Zeliangrong Heraka Youth Organisation Dimapur (ZHYOD) in collaboration with Janjati Vikas Samiti Nagaland had a workshop on ‘social responsibility’ from December 8 to 10 at JVSN Complex, Signal Angami here. At the inaugural programme on December 8 evening, Huzantadbo Meriam, president ZHYOD spoke on youth and social responsibility.
On the first day of the workshop, Dr. Kathakali Bhattacharjee, Culture Research Associate from Vivekananda Kendra spoke on ‘World Religion’. She highlighted the indigenous faith of the world citing the example of Swami Vivekananda representing in world parliament of religion in 1892, informed a press release from ZHYOD president. Dr. Kathakali further referred to the international conference and gathering of ancient culture which has been taking place after every three year since 2003.
Another resource person spoke on skill development. He highlighted on the PMKVY scheme launched by the central government for the youth of the nation and also spoke about the online service. Nabam from Arunachal Vikas Parisad spoke on the indigenous faith prevailing in the North East, while also stressing on the indigenous society of Arunachal Pradesh.
On the second day of the workshop, Aninge spoke on the role of youth in the society. Gopal Krishna and Bineta Jigdung, vice president JVSN spoke on sources of inspiration. The concluding remark was delivered by Vinod Sharma, joint secretary JVSN.
