Dimapur, May 9 (MExN): The Bible reading marathon programme initiated by the Western Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakülu (WSBAK) came to an end on May 8 at WSBAK Centre Church Aküvüto.

The programme was flagged off on May 3 at Nagaland Coffee Shop Near City Tower, Dimapur with an aim to proclaim the word of God within the district of Dimapur and to encourage every Christian believer, the WSBAK stated in its press release.

Around 500 participants from 170 churches under WSBAK took part in the Bible reading marathon, reading the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation marking an achievement of reading the entire Bible within six days. 

The Bible Reading Marathon starting from 5:00 am to 8:00 pm was observed following all SOPs and safety guidelines, the WSBAK informed.

The Bible reading marathon 2021 was a reminder of the importance and need of Bible reading in everyday life and how it can be a source of encouragement and peace during the time of pandemic, the WSBAK stated.
