WSBAK flags off Bible Reading Marathon in Dimapur

Dimapur, May 3 (MExN): A Bible Reading Marathon under the initiative of the Western Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu (WSBAK) was flagged off on May 3 at Nagaland Coffee Shop Dimapur.

According to a press release received on Monday, starting May 3, the WSBAK along with its 170 member churches aims to read the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation within six days (May 8). 

During the six days of Bible Reading Marathon, around 60 to 70 participants are expected to take part in the Bible reading everyday starting from 5:00 am till 8:00 pm. 

At least 500 participants under WSBAK churches are expected to participate in the Bible Reading Marathon which will be conducted in compliance with all COVID-19 SOPs and guidelines, it added.

The Bible Reading Marathon is among one of the many creative programmes of WSBAK with its aim to proclaim the word of God in the society, the release stated. 

It will also serve as a reminder towards the need and importance of Bible reading in daily Christian life and also inspire and motivate churches, irrespective of denomination, to keep ministering the word of God in every possible way despite of the pandemic situation, it added.
