WSSA visits football ground, basketball court construction site at Nihokhu

Dimapur, August 4 (MExN): The Western Sumi Sports’ Association (WSSA) team led by President, Vikuto Zhimo visited Ato Area Sports’ Association (AASA) initiative at Ato Area Hq. Nihokhu for football ground and basketball court construction site on August 3. 

WSSA in a press release stated that the construction “was assured by Global Infrastructure and Construction undertaking capital bypass road package 1, during the visit of chief guest Wing Commander, SA Jakhalu at Ato Area Sports’ Meet last year.”

During the visit, WSSA extended financial support to its sub unit (AASA) and appreciated the initiatives for creating opportunities for young sportsmen under its sub unit area. Further, it thanked Ghokivi Tsakhalu, Chairman PMG of the road project for assisting in the early completion of the construction work by machineries. 

It also informed that this month, WSSA under collaboration with YouthNet and Nagaland Premium Tea Management (Atoqa Tea Factory) Nikhekhu will flag off the 11 sub unit coach under WSSA, for training under Baichung Bhutia in Siliguri to prepare the final U-14 team WSSA team, after the tournament in December of all its sub units. 

The coaches will also get trained by Richard Chamberlain of England the official trainer of united Sikkim Football Club, Baichung Bhutia and Renedy Singh, both former football captains are also the Advisors of WSSA.
