Dimapur, February 10 (MExN): The Western Sumi Youth Front (WSYF) on Wednesday voiced strong support to the objection raised by Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) regarding the new alignment of NH 129A undertaken by NHIDCL. While new alignments are generally made to cut the distance, the new alignment is longer in distance by 10 km and this is highly questionable, the WSYF stated. It further alleged that the new alignment also aims at depriving the villages located at the old route of their livelihood which is being sustained through economic activities carried out alongside the route. In light of these, the WSYF registered its opposition to the new alignment.
