Imphal division of customs division seized contraband World is Yours (WY) tablets worth over Rs 6 crore in the international market from the possessions of two persons on Saturday.
A press release of the Customs Division Superintendent (A/S) P Brojen, anti-smuggling unit officers on receiving specific information stopped a white Mahindra Bolero vehicle at the MG Avenue traffic point in Imphal and on thorough checking found 60,000 pieces of WY (Amohetemine) tablets.
A case under the NDPS Act has been registered against the two apprehended persons, the press release said and added that further investigations are on as it was expected that more people could be involved in the case.
