The Youth Ministry of Yimkhiung Baptist Church Dimapur (YBCD) organised its first-ever Two-Wheeler Ride Fellowship on August 22 under the theme, “Fueled by Faith, Driven by Love,” bringing together young people for a day of fellowship, spiritual reflection and recreation.
The fellowship commenced at the YBCD Church compound, where the riders were flagged off by Rev. Dr Athsan, Pastor, YBCD, following a short prayer. Addressing the youth before the departure, he encouraged them to make active use of such fellowship opportunities, emphasising that meaningful relationships and unity can be strengthened through activities beyond the conventional boundaries of the church.
Speaking on the initiative, Zuvlenki, Youth Director, YBCD, described the ride as a new initiative aimed at engaging the youth through outdoor fellowship. He highlighted that such activities provide an opportunity for young people to interact more closely, develop teamwork, understand one another better and strengthen their bond of faith.
The group travelled to Doyapur, where the fellowship continued with a range of activities. On arrival, Rev Dr Athsan appreciated the Youth Director for taking the initiative and assured the youth of his continued spiritual support and guidance.
In his exhortation, Rev Dr Athsan urged the young people to make faith the driving force of their lives and to remain focused amid various temptations and worldly distractions. He reminded them that a life grounded in faith and guided by love can have a meaningful purpose and bring glory to God.
The day-long programme featured praise and worship, sharing, potluck fellowship (tiffin), football and other interactive activities, providing the participants with opportunities for both spiritual nourishment and recreation. The fellowship concluded with a prayer.
