Yemhi Memorial College, Dimapur celebrated its 10th foundation day cum graduation day on July 11.
Dimapur, July 12 (MExN): Yemhi Memorial College, Dimapur celebrated its 10th college foundation cum graduation day for the batch of 2022 and 2023 with Rev Vitoshe Swu, Senior Pastor, Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church as the special invitee on July 11.
Rev Vitoshe Swu offered the prayer of blessings for the graduates and the college, a press release received here stated. Addressing the students, he challenged them to do away with narrow mindedness, tribalism, class distinction and to become ambassador of change so that justice is served to all. Quoting 1st Corinthians 3:11, he urged them to lay strong foundation in Christ to eradicate all evils from the society.
The programme was chaired by Imlijungla Jamir, Assistant Professor, Department of History. Dr Kaba Daniel, Principal while delivering his welcome speech also shared about the institution’s ten years of journey and highlighted, in brief, the various achievements of the college. Toyeto Chishi, Vice Principal, YMC exhorted the students.
Other highlights of the programme included a special song by the Evangelical Union, YMC entitled “Count Your Blessings” which was followed by the presentation of certificates and awards. Altogether 95 students graduated from the college, 51 from the batch of 2022 and 44 from 2023 batch.
