The YeS Society donated a portable X-Ray machine to the District Hospital Zunheboto as a stop-gap arrangement to be used for bed to bed and place to place diagnosis.
Dimapur, June 11 (MExN): The YeS Society as part of its social responsibility offered a portable X-Ray machine to the Hezukhu Memorial District Hospital, Zunheboto for exigency purposes.
In a letter to the Medical Superintendent, Y Kikheto Sema IAS on behalf of YeS Society stated that being closely associated with health and medical professionals in the fight against the COVID-19 has highlighted the requirement of an X-Ray machine, among other equipment, for understanding the gravity of the Corona virus induced infections.
“It is learnt that the existing X-Ray machine at the Hospital is outdated and malfunctioning,” he stated, while adding that as per reliable sources, the State government is contemplating on providing basic necessary equipment including digital X-Ray machines to hospitals in need of the same.
“Meantime, on seeing the plight of our people who are in dire need of an X-Ray machine, the YeS Society is donating this portable X-Ray machine as a stop-gap arrangement to be used for bed to bed and place to place diagnosis in memory of my late father who was treated at this hospital 36 years ago,” the letter stated.
The X-Ray machine is accompanied by an expert technician for installation and other logistic guidance, it added.
