Shamator, January 6 (MExN): The Western Yimkhiung Hoho (WYH) has appealed to the Government of Nagaland to “respect the aspiration of Yimkhiung community to live under one compact Administrative Headquarter.”

WYH through its Media Cell, therefore, reiterated that the demand of Shamator District initiated by the Yimkhiung Tribal Council is inclusive of all villages under its banner for the administrative convenience based on “Tribal Line.” It also asserted that Yimkhiung community should “be allowed its freedom to determine the desire to choose its own administrative Hq.”

Therefore, WYH appealed to the Government to deliver the “goods and justice of the government to its rightful citizen.”

Second mass rally at Shamator
Meanwhile, a DIPR report stated that the Yimkhiung Tribal Council (YTC) organised second mass rally at Shamator Hq. in demand of Shamator district from Public Ground to ADC office via Main Town on Wednesday. Thousands of public gathered and took part in the rally expressing their “resentment” and reaffirmed that the “protest will continue till Shamator gets district.”
