DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 7 (MExN): YouthNet conducted a comprehensive two-day workshop focused on the intricacies of digital marketplaces from e-commerce of Amazon to social media platforms and ONDC supported by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD). 

The AGM of NABARD mentioned that the scope and objective of this scheme is to provide training, onboarding and handholding support for all kinds of online selling to SHGs, JLGs, Pos, Microentrepreneurs etc for marketing support. It is hoped to push sales through B2B, B2C models. 

The workshop, divided into two parts, commenced with part one, which centered on training and capacity building, offering participants understanding of digital marketplaces. Part two, slated for the near future, will delve into the practical aspects of onboarding products onto various digital platforms, including E-commerce, social media platforms, and ONDC. 

Discussions during the workshop covered a wide array of topics, including understanding the dynamics of digital marketplaces, mastering inventory management, optimizing logistics, creating compelling product listings, effective pricing strategies, and adapting to shifting market dynamics. 

Lanu Akum Imchen, MD of Cold Mountain Organic, President of YOGN (IFOAM Asia), and Advisor to UNCTAD Empretec India Foundation who shared his experience with onboarding and marketing of products in online/digital marketplaces to exporting products to other countries. 

Ididaule Ngia, who is a digital business coach and ASIA’s Youngest Diamond Director, Oriflame covered the topic of personal branding and marketing through social media.

Jalesh Parekh, Executive Vice President of Yes Bank Ltd, Mumbai gave an introduction to Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). 

Hikou Mekrisu, Programme Coordinator of IBM Skills Build highlighted the Importance of communication skills, while Imtisunep Longchar, Managing Director of ilandlo Services Pvt. Ltd shared on Onboarding and marketing of products in E-Commerce; and Khrolo Lasushe, a media consultant spoke on product photography.
