Shamator, January 27 (MExN): The Yimkhiung Tribal Council (YTC) organized a civic reception for S Keoshu Yimchunger, MLA 58 AC; Thsuvisie Phoji NCS, Deputy Commissioner, Shamator; and Amit Kumar IPS, Superintendent of Police, Shamator at Public Ground, Shamator town on January 25.
A press release issued by R Wongchum Yim, Publicity & Information Secretary, YTC said that this programme was organized to show happiness for the newly upgraded Shamator district and to welcome the newly posted DC and SP, Shamator.
YTC President, Throngso Yimkhiung in his welcome speech gave credit to the Yimkhiung pioneers both living and the deceased for attaining Shamator district. He called upon the Shamator district inhabitants to remain united and to maintain peaceful atmosphere to take the newly upgraded Shamator district to newer levels and newer heights.
SP Shamator, Amit Kumar IPS maintained that he is approachable either at his residence or office for any matter when public need his service and time, and appealed for public cooperation. DC Shamator, Thsuvisie Phoji NCS promised to deliver developmental activities whatever is possible up to his best ability. MLA S Keoshu Yim called upon the public to remain united in one vision, thought and belief while on the road to develop the new home called Shamator district.
The programme was chaired by Tsuyihba, General Secretary, YTC and invocation and benediction were pronounced by Rev Fr T Latsutho John Poji, Principal, St Xavier School, Shamator and Rev Thrunkiumong, Literature Secretary, YBBA Mission Center, Shamator respectively.
