Dimapur, July 17 (MExN): Youth Welfare Club (YWC) under the aegis of Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India carried out various cleanliness activities for 100 hours during May-July 2018 as part of Swachh Bharat Summer Internship 2018.
The internship was held under the supervision of K Phyobemo Lotha, District Nodal Officer (SBSI), NYK Dimapur.
A press release from the Youth Welfare Club president, A Shyerhunlo Lorin said that the team of “young change makers” took up the challenge and understood the various tasks under the theme ‘Team up to clean up’.
The team carried out activities like awareness campaign in school, construction of toilet, street cleaning.
The Youth Welfare Club is a group of liked minded youth formed with an aim of inspiring in action through volunteerism, according to the press release.
