Phek, January 9 (MExN): The Village Education Committee Zapami Village organised exposure tour to Kohima for GMS students on January 9. Altogether 25 students along with two teacher guide and two VEC members visited the War Cemetery, State Assembly, Secretariat, Kisama Heritage Village and returned to village on the same day.
“Most of the students visited the state capital for the first time,” stated a press release received here. It also stated that currently, the VEC team is trying to improve student enrolment in the school by bringing back the drop out students to the school. “This measure has been taken to achieve 100 % enrolment of students at the elementary stage of education,” it added.
It may be mentioned here that the VEC along with the Church and Village council are running hostel for the students of GMS zapami village. “The village plan to expand the hostel in the current year,” the note added.
