Ziekezou SC defeated Power Comm FC 2-1 to win the inaugural edition of the Kohima Football League on the final day of the season at Kohima Local Ground on Thursday.
New Market FC secured the second place with 12 points (+3 goal difference). United 16 FC claimed third ahead of Khriekesa FC on better goal difference of +6 after both teams had 11 points.
On Thursday, Mhasibeituo Yhome and Kekhriesetuo Tsira scored in the 20th and 78th minutes respectively for Ziekezou SC.
Yhunshalo Kemp scored the solitary goal for Power Comm FC in the 53rd minute.
The Kohima Football League Trophy-cum-KTC Cup 2017 will be held on September 1 from 1:30 pm onwards at Kohima Local Ground.
KTC Cup 2017 will be played from September 1 to 9 with eight clubs competing on knockout basis.
All the participating clubs have been requested to attend the inaugural function of 1st KTC Cup 2017.
