
Our Correspondent Kohima | August 26 Ziekezou SC today defeated Khriekesa FC 2-0 at the ongoing Kohima Football League here at the Kohima Local ground. Vilhoubeituo Yhome struck twice, the first coming in the 34th minute and the second in the 77th minute. Three players were yellow carded in the game - Neiphrezolie Usou of Khriekesa FC and Vinoka Sumi of and Hitova of Ziekezou SC.The win took Zeikezou to the top of the league table with 12 points in 6 games. Kethosituo Elvis Mepfhii-o, Managing Director, 3E Nagaland was the match patron. Earlier, Kohima District Veteran Football Association (KDVFA) defeated Kohima Town Club (KTC) 2-1 in an exhibition match. All three goals came in the second half with striker K. Neibou Sekhose scoring both the goals for KDVFA and Beizo Solo scoring the lone goal for KTC. A minute of silence was observed in honour and memory of late Shiirho Solo and late Lanu, two formers members of KDVFA before the start of the exhibition match.
