Peren, January 27 (MExN): The Zeliang Students’ Union, Nagaland (ZLSU) has temporarily called off a proposed agitation following assurance from Senior Sub-Divisional Education Officer (SDEO), Peren to look into its grievances. The proposed agitation from January 27 was called off temporarily following assurance from the Senior SDEO that proposal will be put up at the Directorate, School Education Department within the 1st Week of February, the ZLSN informed in a press release.
However, it cautioned that the ZLSU would go for indefinite agitation across the district if the department fails to address the grievances put forth by the union within the stipulated time. It further requested all the School Management Committee (SMC) and School Management and Developments Committee (SMDC) not to issue release orders to any teachers without proper verifications.
