JALUKIE, DECEMBER 10 (MExN): The inaugural programme of the 1st Zeliang Officer’s Association Nagaland (ZOAN) Badminton Tournament was held on December 10 at Indoor Stadium, Jalukie with Executive Secretary, Zeme Baptist Church Council, Rev Izieteilung Terieng as the special guest. The tournament was organised by ZOAN as part of its 7th General Conference.
Rev Izieteilung Tereing in his inaugural speech lauded the efforts of ZOAN for taking the initiative in organizing the tournament. While speaking, he also said that Zeliang officers are the most fortunate citizens of Peren District and further encouraged them to protect their land and their people.
Later, the tournament was officially declared open by the special guest in the presence of ZOAN officials and other dignitaries.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by EAC Peren Hq, Ihoilung Chuilo, NCS while a special song was presented by Matui N Hau and vote of thanks was delivered by District Surveillance Officer Peren, Dr Hedungkiebe Rao.
