Dimapur, August 1 (MExN): The Zeliangrong Youth Front and members of Tamenglong Autonomous District Council have started the road restoration work by filling up the pot holes and craters at Tamenglong district HQ main town from August 1. Dividing the road stretches in the town into two, the restoration work is being undertaken on one side by ZYF along with volunteers comprising from members of various club located at district while the other portion is executed by the Members of ADC, ZYF General Secretary Donpon Daimai informed in a press note received here. As the road condition was getting worse due to long “abandonment,” the work is undertaken with an apprehension that untoward incident could occur at any time, it said. ZYF also maintained concerns about the road condition have been highlighted to the state government “many times,” but no positive steps have been taken so far. With no alternative, the restoration work was started after considering the hardships and difficulties being faced by the people, it added.
