GB’s Customary Court Tuensang issues directives

Tuensang, June 22 (MExN): GB’s Customary Court District HQ, Tuensang has issued various directives based on public complaints and grievances.

A press release from Khoni Ashem Chang, Head GB, GB’s Customary Court District HQ Tuensang noted that it has been regularly observed that the private public transport, i.e., buses and Sumo taxis, plying long distance from Dimapur, Kohima to Tuensang are usually overloaded with commercial cargo much beyond the allotted individual’s luggage capacity thereby posing grievous concern to the passengers who are already under duress by the perilous road and long journey.

Therefore, the private buses and Sumo taxi owners have been directed to maintain the limited per passenger luggage carrying capacity.

All the commercial set-ups – wholesalers, retailers, butchers, public distribution agencies etc – in and around Tuensang Town were meanwhile directed to use proper weighing scales and measurements.

The GB’s Customary Court also strongly voiced out to curb the “menace” of drug abuse, drug users, and sellers in Tuensang Town.

The release cautioned that in the event of failure to comply with the directives, the defaulters will be subjected to disciplinary jurisdiction of the GB’s Customary Court District HQ, Tuensang.
