Manipur: Rs. 22,56,000 donated to Chief Minister’s COVID-19 Relief Fund

Donations to the newly created Chief Minister’s COVID-19 Relief Fund are pouring in from different quarters. Several individuals and organisations have contributed a sum of Rs. 22,56,000 to the Chief Minister’s COVID-19 Relief Fund on Saturday.

 

The Sangai Express newspaper contributed Rs 5 lakhs to the Chief Minister’s COVID-19 Relief Fund. The Liberal College Employees Association donated Rs 3 lakhs, Jain Samaj donated Rs 3 lakhs, Sanathan Samaj donated Rs 2 lakhs, the Manipur Secretariat Assistant Group donated Rs 1 lakh, Shiv Sena Sang donated Rs. 1 lakh, Sikh Samaj donated Rs, 1,51,000, L. Sharat Singh of Sarajeevan Enterprise donated Rs. 1 lakh, Koijam Gyaneswor Singh donated Rs 1 lakh, Karam Kashi donated Rs 1 lakh, and Yumnam Gunindro Mangang donated Rs. 5000. 

 

Awangbow Newmai, MLA of Tamei assembly constituency, Namsinrei Panmei, Chairman of ADC Tamenglong and D. Ringo, Chairman of ADC Chandel donated Rs 1 lakh each.

 

The Chief Minister also expressed hope that more organisations and people would come forward to fight collectively against COVID-19.
