“FESTIVAL OF THE NORTHEAST” a three-day colourful event was organised by the Kalakshetra Academy Chennai from 29th-31st March, 2011 at the Music Academy Mylapore, Chennai. Various artists from Nagaland, Manipur and Assam displayed the rich musical and cultural tradition of the region.
Participating during the function on the opening night the Naga Singing Ambassadors a 26 member team under the leadership of Lipokmar Tzudir, Director of the choir from Nagaland mesmerize the audience with their beautiful singing. Meanwhile, joining the people from different walks of life a large number of Nagas residing in Chennai lead by Pastor Wapangtoshi Naga Christian Fellowship Chennai and Keneidezo Natso President Naga Students Union Chennai also attended the program.
