Palin blasts Arnold's behaviour as 'disgusting' and 'irresponsible'

Politician Sarah Palin has spoken out about Arnold Schwarzenegger's extra-marital affair, to make sure her opinion is known to the public. The Republican branded his behaviour ‘disgusting’ and irresponsible’, while speaking to a television reporter. Mrs Palin, 47, said on the Fox Business channel: ‘I feel so bad for his children. ‘It must be quite embarrassing for them, and, you know, it’s an irresponsible and really a pretty disgusting thing that he did, pretty much denying that he had a child for 10 years. ‘That’s how I look at it. It speaks to his character. It’s sad,' the Daily Express reported.
Her comments followed the former California governor’s extra-marital affair with his former housekeeper being revealed, with whom he secretly fathered a son, now 14. The Hollywood action star, 63, is not only facing public scrutiny and embarrassment over his behaviour, but his wife Maria Shriver is now seeking a divorce too. Schwarzenegger admitted in a statement this week: ‘After leaving the governor's office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago,’ Schwarzenegger said. ‘I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family.
‘There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry.’ ‘This is a painful and heartbreaking time,’ Shriver said Monday night in a statement. ‘As a mother my concern is for the children. I ask for compassion, respect and privacy as my children and I try to rebuild our lives and heal. ‘I will have no further comment.’
Since his statement, Schwarzenegger has also abruptly put his Hollywood comeback on hold to sort out his personal life and perhaps prepare for a starring role in a big-budget divorce battle. The former Terminator star told his talent agency on Thursday to postpone all his movie projects. Govenor Schwarzenegger is focusing on personal matters and is not willing to commit to any production schedules or timelines,' a statement from his office said. Meanwhile, Mrs Palin, the former governor of Alaska, continued to declare this week that she is definitely motivated to run for president in 2012. She said she has 'the fire in her belly' to run.
