STRONGER TOGETHER: Nagaland Baptist churches converge for annual general council

NBCC staffs with different association delegates at 83rd NBCC annual general council at Tening on February 2.
 

Tening, February 3 (MExN): The Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) 83rd annual general council under the theme of ‘Stronger Together’ was held from January 30 to February 2 at Liangmai Baptist Association Mission Centre, Tening. The council was hosted by the Liangmai Baptist Association (LBA). 


LBA Media Cell in a press release stated that the speakers in the worship service included Rev Dr Hukashe Zhimomi president, NBCC; Dr, Niholi H Shohe, Principal, Into Theological College, Zunheboto; Rev, Dr, Zelhou Keyho, General Secretary NBCC; Rev, Dr. Elyngkiebe Zeliang HoD, Peace Studies, Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong. 


The resource persons of the focus groups were Rev Maongkaba Lemtur, Mission Mobilizer, World Evangelization for Christ, Zuchonthung Ovung, Associate Pastor, Kohima Lotha Baptist Church; Dr Hovithal Sothu, Project Director, TaFMA, Government of Nagaland and Rev Phomlee Van, Pastor, Kohima Phom Baptist Church.


The speakers in the worship service emphasizing on the theme said that togetherness is the reason of confident remark and venture to put in a word; togetherness is contributes of each one in constructing of things for God. 


They said that each one of us has a talent to be used for the glory of God and the children of God must work together for the enrichment of Christ’s Kingdom. “Our togetherness is representations of His Heavenly Kingdom being build together to become a dwelling in which God lives by His spirit that joined and held together grows and build itself in love,” the speakers said. 


NBCC also conducted farewell programme to outgoing state chaplain Rev Kuzierang Thou, Finance and Property Secretary, NBCC and welcomed Rev TW Yamyap and the new state chaplain. NBCC also organised installation programme of Rev Dr Zelhou Keyho, General Secretary; Re, Noksa Chiu, Secretary, Finance & Property;  Visadieu Dilie, Secretary, Women; Rev Amop Noklang, State Chaplain and Moatemsu Walling, principal, Christian Higher Secondary School Dimapur.
