Unity College conducted ‘Parent-Teacher Meet’ September 15 at the College Seminar Hall.
The meet was held to realise the full potential of the students through collaborative effort of both the parents and the teachers, informed a press release from College Dean of Students’ Welfare, Mhonbeni Jami.
During the meet, the faculty members highlighted the working of semester system, mentor-mentee sessions, internal markings, semester system as well as issues pertaining to attendance shortages, it said.
The importance of assignments, presentations, project work, class tests, class discussions and departmental activities were emphasised, it added.
An interactive session was also held where the parents were given a platform to address their grievances and their doubts were clarified, the release further informed, adding the parents were given assurance that the college will take into consideration their queries at the earliest.
A Committee of Parents was also formed at the end of the meet.
