
Kohima, February 15 (MExN): 18 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 6 Sector Assam Rifles installed a water pump along with water supply pipe line at Pedi village as part of Assam Rifles Civic Action programme. The fully functional water supply system was formally handed over to villagers by 18 Assam Rifles on February 10, informed Assam Rifles in a press release. It added that the village council of Pedi appreciated the initiative stating the water supply system will act as a boon for the villagers and fulfil their long standing basic requirement of drinking water.
19 AR’s initiative at Orphanage and Destitute Home
Under the ongoing MCA projects, 19 Assam Rifles plastered the floor of Orphanage & Destitute Home, Kohima. The caretaker and children of the Orphanage and Destitute Home, Kohima expressed their heartiest gratitude to Assam Rifles for their unrelenting effort, and making a difference in the lives of the children, a press release stated.
46 AR constructs water storage tank
46 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 5 Sector, IGAR(N) constructed an RCC water storage tank and installed one solar street light at New Thewati village, Phek district as part of DGAR MCA project. According to a press release from AR, it was a moment of joy for the inhabitants of the village, which is located close to Myanmar border. The GB and villagers of New Thewati village attended the inaugural ceremony of the same. The note added that the GB appreciated the efforts and conveyed his gratitude on behalf of the villagers to 46 Assam Rifles.
